SEATAC, Wash. — A man was hospitalized with serious injuries on Monday after a reported fight on a light rail train, the King County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) confirmed Tuesday.

KCSO said deputies responded to the Sound Transit Airport Station on International Boulevard South in SeaTac late Monday night for a reported fight on a train. Reports indicated two men were fighting and that one or both were bleeding, KCSO said.

A victim "in his mid-30s to early 40s" had serious injuries from a "sharp instrument" and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, KCSO said. Deputies arrested a man in his "early 20s" who was booked into jail on suspicion of assault.

No information was available on what led up to the fight.
