Beloved White Center ice cream shop owner dies after suffering heart attack

Justin Cline, owner of Full Tilt Ice Cream, had been fighting for his life in the ICU since early February. He died early in the morning on March 2.

WHITE CENTER, Wash. — A beloved local business owner in White Center has died after nearly a month of fighting for his life in the ICU.

Justin Cline, owner of Full Tilt Ice Cream, suffered a heart attack in early February, his family confirmed to KING 5. He died on Saturday, March 2 at around 6 a.m. at Valley Medical Center. He was known in the community as the "Ice Cream Man."

"It is with absolutely broken hearts that we share that our beloved friend Justin has moved on to the great ice cream shop in the sky," read an update to an online fundraiser campaign benefitting Cline's wife, Ann Magyar and their two children. People have donated over $64,000 to support the family.

Cline and Magyar were well known for donating their time and money to support the White Center community, close friend Sarah Fox told KING 5 in February.

"They've really helped to keep White Center a place where working-class families can come and get an ice cream cone and participate in community life,” Fox said. “Justin helps organize so much of the events that happen in White Center."

For those looking to support the family, friends suggested continuing to donate to the online fundraiser, visiting Full Tilt, finding ways to support your local community and becoming CPR certified.
