'Caddyshack' star Cindy Morgan found dead at 69

Morgan's big break came playing Lacey Underall in the 1980 comedy “Caddyshack” alongside Bill Murray, Chevy Chase and Rodney Dangerfield.

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — Cindy Morgan, the actor best known for her roles in 1980s movies "Caddyshack" and "Tron," has died at age 69.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office in Florida confirmed to media outlets that Morgan died of natural causes. 

Morgan’s body was discovered Dec. 30, the sheriff's office said. Her roommate called 911 after returning from a holiday trip and becoming concerned when she didn't receive an answer after knocking on Morgan's bedroom door, in addition to a "strong odor." Morgan is believed to have died of natural causes. 

Morgan's big break came playing Lacey Underall, the country club owner's beautiful niece in the 1980 comedy “Caddyshack” alongside Bill Murray, Chevy Chase and Rodney Dangerfield.

She played computer programmer Lora in 1982's "Tron," as well as her alter ego Yori. 

She acted in film and television through the 1980s and 90s, appearing on episodes of "The Love Boat," "CHIPs," "Bring 'Em Back Alive," "Matlock," and "The Larry Sanders Show," among others. 

Morgan most recently had voice role in the 2022 movie "Face of the Trinity."
