Bellevue student continuing to spread good news

Aryaman Sinha's pandemic project grew from a few subscribers to dozens.

BELLEVUE, Wash. — In 2021, KING 5 shared the story of a 10-year-old from Bellevue who wanted to share good news with other kids who were surrounded by COVID-19 pandemic closures and plenty of bad news.

Aryaman Sinha is the founder of Good Newz Universal.

“I would find three good news stories each day and post them on the website for my subscribers,” said Aryaman.

His pandemic project grew from a few subscribers to dozens. After his appearance on KING 5, the doctor came calling.

“Dr. Oz had me on his show and I was totally freaking out!” said Aryaman.

His appearance boosted the website in a big way. Hundreds of subscribers later he decided to keep the good times rolling.

Aryaman said he was hearing from subscribers around the world.

“I think the last time I checked I had subscribers in 50 countries,” Aryaman said.

Aryaman decided that instead of winding down the project he would expand and rebrand. After hearing from a school in Africa that was inspired by his work, he was more motivated than ever to increase and improve his passion.

“I wanted to expand into more diverse set of topics which is how Good Newz Universal was born,” Aryaman said.

Three stories are posted each day and subscribers to his newsletter get the top 10 stories mailed to them each week.

“We even have a new slogan!” Aryaman said.  “Good News Universal — The brighter side of life!”

Aryaman said his service is free and he’s just happy uplifting people.

You can subscribe to Good Newz Universal and submit stories to share on his website.
