Thieves caught on camera stealing puppies from Puyallup pet store

Thieves stole a French bulldog puppy worth $5,400 from the pet store in March.

PUYALLUP, Wash. — Three people were caught on camera stealing dogs from a Puyallup pet store on Monday, marking the second time in two months the business has been targeted by thieves.

Puppyland Washington said in a Facebook post on Monday afternoon that two men and a woman stole two Yorkies and a poodle. The store shared a video of the thieves walking out of the store with the dogs.

The business said to call 253-697-9984 if you recognize the thieves seen in the video. Police have not released any details on the recent theft.

Two months ago, store surveillance video on March 2 showed two men looking at the various open pens of puppies inside Puppyland on Meridian Street. One man was talking to a sales associate while the other reached into the container and walked out of the store with a French bulldog worth $5,400.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department (PSCO), the two men set up an appointment with the store using fake names, emails and phone numbers.

According to the PCSO, the men left in a red Toyota Camry described as beat-up and had taped back windows.
