SEATTLE — A Stanwood man was sentenced on Friday to over 10 years in prison for possession of heroin and fentanyl with intent to distribute in a Seattle U.S. District Court.
Christerfer Frick, 49, was arrested in May 2021 while he was still on supervised release from a nine-year prison sentence for drug dealing. In all, Frick was sentenced to 121 months.
“The fact that you immediately turned to drug dealing shortly after release from prison indicates the court needs to protect the community,” U.S. District Judge Richard Jones said.
Per court documents, prosecutors say Frick stored and mailed drugs to customers from the dark web throughout 2020 and early 2021. Frick is said to have used a drug supplier and stored up to 50 pounds of substances at a time. Prosecutors say Frick kept the drugs in an unlocked safe in his garage, where investigators found 2.7 kilos of heroin and fentanyl.
Frick had a co-conspirator who ran the site on the dark web, while Frick stored and delivered the drugs to customers through either in-person meetings or the mail.
“Christerfer Frick has been on a crime spree that has lasted for over thirty years. He has dozens of convictions, including brandishing a firearm, eluding, escape, theft, harassment, forgery, counterfeiting, and drug trafficking," wrote the prosecutors in the sentencing memo.
Frick, who now has three federal felony convictions, will be on five years of supervised release after his sentence.
