Seattle — Los Angeles-based sweet shop Compartes Chocolatier has a brand new, limited edition Avocado Toast Chocolate bar that is breaking the internet so ... we had to taste test it!
It's made with a white chocolate base, then it's blended with California avocados and includes caramelized pieces of toast throughout for a little bit of crunch.
Comparte"s describes their sweet take on avocados as the "most trendy food of 2018." They promise a unique chocolate sensation unlike anything you've ever tried before.
Millennials get ragged on a lot for the avocado takeover, but hey, there are worse foods that we could be obsessed with. Avocados are super nutritious: they're rich in potassium and fiber, can help lower cholesterol, and have lots of healthy fats.
If you think the avocado craze stops at chocolate, think again. Starbuck's stores in South Korea offer Avocado Frappuccinos.
The frapp perfectly resembles a cut avocado and even comes with a little pit in the center. The pit is made of chocolate, which just adds to the deliciousness. Sadly, it's not available in the U.S. yet, but if the craze continues it may only be a matter of time!
