Summer is in full swing for Western Washington. Seattle set a new heat record by hitting 93 degrees on Sunday, the hottest day of 2018 so far. The old record of 92 degrees on July 15 was set back in 1958.
This week will start off sunny and hot with highs in the low 90s Monday.
According to Jordan Wilkerson in the KING 5 Weather Center, temperatures will stay in the 80s to start the week. Monday and Tuesday will be the warmest, before slightly cooler air moves in midweek.
There is still no rain in the forecast for the next 7 days.

While the heat and dry weather may be welcome to some, those in Eastern Washington will be battling conditions ripe for spreading wildfires. Several burn bans are in effect across Western Washington.
