The Tacoma family is still looking for their pit bull puppy Roxy after she was dog-napped Monday as their two daughters were playing with her in their own front yard.

Eight-year-old Diamond Howard and her younger sister said a white car slowly drove past them, then burned back. A man got out of the car and walked up to them.

"He said, 'Cute dog. Can I pet it?' And I said, 'No' and he just snatched the dog out of my hand and he ran," said Diamond.

"I feel very disrespected, my daughter's been very disrespected," said Diamond's dad, Don Howard. "Basically, I'm hoping this never happens to anybody else's kid. (I'm) hoping we get Roxy back."

Don says he's glad his daughters are safe, but they're now afraid to play in their own yard.

The puppy, Roxy, is a gray female pit bull with a white chest, white paws and a distinctive bald spot on the top of her head.

She was stolen in northeast Tacoma near SW 352nd St.

The suspect's vehicle is in a newer, pearl-white Toyota (possibly a Celica) with tinted windows.
