One of the women held at the Northwest Detention Center who sued to be reunited with her child was released Friday.

Yolany Padilla was separated from her child at the U.S.-Mexico border and transferred to the detention center in Tacoma, according to the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project.

Padilla and two other women filed a complaint against the U.S. government on June 25 on behalf of themselves and several other families separated when crossing the border to seek asylum. Padilla was separated from her six-year-old son.
