'Solutions Summit' to examine Seattle’s employee head tax

A statewide 'Solutions Summit' kicks off Tuesday to study the fallout from Seattle's newly approved employee head tax.

Now that Seattle has approved the employee head tax on big business in the city, one question still lingers. What's next?

That question is the focus of local and national policymakers at the 6th annual 'Solutions Summit,' hosted by the Washington Policy Center.

The two-day, statewide event also features national experts on the topics including renewed income tax efforts, right-to-work labor reform, charter schools, a statewide carbon tax, and choice in education.

Keynote speaker for Western Washington is Stephen Hayes, editor in chief of The Weekly Standard. For Eastern Washington, it's Scott Rasmussen, the founder of Rasmussen Reports and co-founder of ESPN.
