It’s no surprise that this tech comes from the mind of former Microsoft Executive Bill Mitchell. His brother Jim is a food chemist who helped to develop a beer brewing process that’s revolutionized home brewing.
PicoBrew has essentially taken the guesswork and time commitment out of the equation. Not to mention users can brew many of their favorite beers from across the globe with the press of a few buttons. Yeah, it’s that easy.
Their line of countertop brewing appliances has grown over the past few years, and this week they have unveiled what they describe as “the world’s first universal brewing machine.” Pico U is smaller, cheaper and more capable than previous devices.
The Kickstarter reached its funding goal in just 90 minutes this week, and Pico U promises to be the toast of the kitchen by early 2019.
It’s already being referred to as a Swiss army knife for brewing, and Pico Brew says they’ve perfected the technology.
