4 shooting suspects chased down by police in South Seattle

Police tracked four shooting suspects to Rainier Valley, but had to chase on foot once they crashed their vehicle.

A group of suspects, tied to a shooting in Seattle's Central District, led police on a chase through Rainier Valley for several hours Tuesday afternoon.

The entire incident began around 2:15 p.m. near 27th Avenue and E Union Street, according to Seattle Police. Several people reported seeing suspects firing shots in the area from a brown Kia.

There are no reported injuries.

Detectives spotted the Kia about an hour later and attempted to stop them. The suspect vehicle crashed into another vehicle at Renton Avenue S and S Rose Street while fleeing from police.

That's when police began a several-hour search through neighborhoods and busy streets for the four suspects. Eventually, three males and a female were located and taken into custody.

Police officers found a gun in the Kia they left behind.
