New Daffodil Queen crowned in Tacoma

The Daffodil Queens coronation was Saturday night at the Rialto Theatre in Tacoma.

Twenty-three princesses from Pierce County were on hand to be honored.

Princess Allie Brooks from Lincoln High School in Tacoma was named the Daffodil Queen.

The Daffodil Parade is next Saturday and travels through Tacoma, Puyallup, Sumner, and Orting. It consists of over 180 entries, including floats, bands, marching and mounted units.

Floats are decorated with thousands of fresh-cut daffodils.
