A fire destroyed a home near the Kingston waterfront Friday night. The flames were so intense they could be seen by people on the other side of Puget Sound in Edmonds.
Flames were spotted around 8 p.m. by people who posted photos and video on social media.

North Kitsap Fire and Rescue said the fire was not reported until it was fully involved. Firefighters had problems getting to it because of a narrow road. Water supply was also an issue due to a lack of fire hydrants.
The fire was brought under control and there were no reports of injuries.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
