A man was found dead next to train tracks in Sumner on Thursday morning.
The body of a 38-year-old white male was discovered before 8 a.m. on BNSF tracks, just south of the Zehnder St. crossing. Early reports say it appears the man had contact with a train, but his cause of death and identity have not been confirmed.
The east tracks were closed while a medical examiner responded to the scene.
The Sounder south line train was rerouted to bus service, but the tracks have since reopened.
