Someone broke into a Mill Creek Boy Scout troop’s equipment shed and stole outdoor gear, according to Troop 327.
The troop lost all their backpacks, which have “Troop 327” written on them, two two-burner stoves, most of their backpacking stoves and pots, a six-person tent, and all but one of their daypacks.
“Our Scouts work hard to raise money to buy this gear,” the troop wrote in a Facebook post Friday. “The gear benefits our outdoor program and EVERY boy in our Troop.”
Photos show the thieves damaged the equipment shed door and lock when it was pried open.
The troop asked the community to watch out for gear that may pop up for sale.
Troop 327 is also looking for a carpenter to install a new door for the shed.
