Seattle firefighters came to the rescue of a chihuahua Thursday night. They pulled the four-legged friend from a stolen car that flipped over in Seattle's Maple Leaf neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Dept.

The stolen vehicle crashed into a couple cars before hitting a curb and flipping over, according to Jason Twaddle and Alex Zwingle: two witnesses at the scene that were in one of the vehicles hit.

A patrol officer had spotted the reportedly stolen vehicle driving at high speeds in North Seattle. The officer gave pursuit, and at one point in the chase, the suspect vehicle was traveling the wrong way at nearly 70 mph.

The stolen vehicle, a white Lexus, came to rest in the 8000 block of Roosevelt Way NE.

Fire crews extricated the driver and transported him to the hospital with a broken clavicle. Police took the passenger into custody.

Detectives are working to determine whether the suspects in the stolen vehicle are connected to several robberies from earlier that day.
