Alpine combined and halfpipe highlight Monday night at the Olympics

And on The Olympic Zone, a Washington state skier and her cross country sisterhood have a chance at Olympic history.

The first full week of Olympics competition is underway, with the U.S in a great position to pick up at least another gold medal in primetime.

4:30 p.m. - The Olympic Zone

Winthrop's Sadie Bjornsen is one of the best hopes to get the U.S. on the women's cross country podium for the first time, ever, at the Olympics. But she's not the only woman poised to get the U.S. its first piece of Olympic hardware.

5 p.m. - NBC Olympics Primetime

The weather has wreaked havoc with the alpine events so far. Assuming it's a "go," we'll see the grueling Men's Alpine Combined. It starts with live coverage of the downhill run.

You'll also see Snowboard Halfpipe competition. The women's side wraps up with the final runs, led by gold medal favorite Chloe Kim from Team USA. On the men's side, halfpipe legend Shaun White tries to get back to the podium after a disappointing performance four years go in Sochi.

You'll also see highlights from women's speedskating in the 1,500 meters.

9:05 p.m. NBC Olympics Prime Plus

The Men's Alpine Combined concludes with the slalom runs. And you'll see more live competition in men's snowboarding.
