Western Washington started the weekend with lots of sunshine, but we’re still 37 days away from Spring, which means winter weather is still possible - and some of us saw a few snowflakes Sunday morning.
A weak front pushed through early Sunday. Temperatures were near freezing, so as the front moved through, some areas saw wet snowflakes mixed in with light rain showers. Communities in the Southwest Interior got the best chance at seeing a renegade snowflake. No accumulation was expected.
While it was fairly clear in Seattle, viewers in Yelm, Chehalis and Napavine saw snow flurries.
Since there wasn't much moisture moving in, even a rain shower was tough to come by. By noontime, this weather system slipped south into Oregon, and Washington's chance for anything falling from the sky wraps up.
Conditions begin to clear Sunday night, so more sun for us the start of the workweek!
