Friday night was personal for Karen Fierro. She and other immigrant youth protested in Tacoma Friday night for Congress to pass a DREAM act.

"I'm undocumented. I came to this country when I was really young. I was five," Fierro said.

Fierro and her brother came from Mexico with their parents and have been in Tacoma for the last 15 years. They are both DACA recipients.

"Thanks to DACA, I was able to graduate from Whitworth University this past summer. Because of it, my brother was able to now have a job," Fierro said. "As DACA recipients, now we don't feel comfortable. We don't feel safe because we're also being targeted at this moment."

Among those at the rally, there was a shared concern.

"We should not wake up every single day scared of what our future looks like, scared of whether we're going to see our parents when they come back," said a protestor.

For Fierro and many others, the fight is to stay and do everything they can to not be pushed out.

"We cannot let that happen," Fierro said.
